Sleeping Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle at Jefferson Park
Bakersfield, CA (August 7, 2022) – Ann Frances Gaitan, a 57-year-old woman, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Bernard Street.
The Bakersfield.com reported Gaitan was sleeping at Jefferson Park in Bakersfield on July 12. According to the article published online, the drive of a white truck did not notice the woman and run her over.
The horrible crash took place in the 800 block of Bernard Street.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Bakersfield
Shortly after 6:47 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics immediately attended to the injured party. Sadly, the woman succumbed to her injuries and eventually died. The Kern County coroner’s office identified the fatal victim as Ann Frances Gaitan, of Bakersfield.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the catastrophic incident.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. Personnel from the Bakersfield Police Department continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident at Jefferson Park on Bernard Street.
