Anna Mejia, 32, Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Golden State (5) Freeway Friday
Sun Valley, CA (August 21, 2021) – Anna Mejia, a 32-year-old homeless woman, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Interstate 5 Friday evening.
According to My News LA, a vehicle struck a woman standing on Golden State (5) Freeway. The horrible crash took place at about 7:13 p.m. near the connector to the southbound Hollywood (170) Freeway.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Sun Valley, August 20
Responding emergency crews found the woman lying unconscious on the ground. Despite life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to her injuries and died. The coroner’s office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Anna Mejia, a homeless woman.
Meanwhile, the driver involved in the unfortunate event reportedly stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident in Sun Valley.
