Cyclist Dies in Hit-and-Run Collision at Parking Lot
Marysville, CA (April 14, 2022) – Anson Allen, a 29-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on D Street on April 8, Friday.
The Kuba Radio News published an article online reporting a collision involving a bicyclist. Preliminary investigation revealed Allen was riding a bike in the Habitat for Humanity parking lot. For reasons still unclear, a vehicle struck the man and took off.
Emergency crews responded to the 202 block of D Street. When medical personnel arrived, they immediately rendered aid to the victim found with severe injuries. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the cyclist sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities later identified the deceased as Anson Allen.
At this time, detectives continue to gather several details to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect. Officers believed the car involved in the catastrophic incident was a tan, midsize SUV.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
