Bicyclist Injured in Antelope Hit-and-Run at Elverta Road and Antelope Road
ANTELOPE, CA (July 15, 2021) – A bicyclist was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash at Elverta Road and Antelope Road.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place late Thursday night. Officers reported the incident at about 10 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in the Antelope area. The driver hit the victim at the intersection of Elverta Road and Antelope Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the cyclist left wounded and sitting on the right hand shoulder. The patient sustained unspecified injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the bicyclist to the Mercy San Juan Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the bicycle rider and fled the area. They are still searching for the suspect.
Officers forced the road to shut down following the collision. The cause of the Antelope hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
