Anthony Carrasco Arrested Fatal Merced Crash on Highway 99; Truck Driver Killed

MERCED, Calif. (March 7, 2023) — Anthony Carrasco, 35, has been arrested on suspicion of DUI after he allegedly caused a crash on Highway 99 that killed a big rig truck driver in Merced.

The traffic accident occurred about 11:20 a.m. on Monday, March 6th, just north of O Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Meanwhile, Anthony Carrasco survived unharmed.

Police arrested him on felony DUI charges and he was booked in the Merced County Jail.

Finally, the Merced collision on Highway 99 remains under investigation.
