Anthony Lee St. John Killed in Motorcycle Accident on 15 Freeway in Scripps Ranch
SUV, Motorcycle Collision on I-15 Freeway in San Diego | April 15
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 18, 2025) — Anthony Lee St. John, 26, of Poway, died in a motorcycle versus SUV crash Tuesday afternoon on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just south of Mira Mesa Boulevard in Scripps Ranch.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 4 p.m. on April 15th, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner’s report and CHP dispatchers.
CHP officials reported the Poway man was allegedly riding a Ducati motorcycle at high speed near the HOV lane on northbound I-15 when the bike collided with a driver in a silver Lexus SUV. It’s unknown at this time whether the SUV changed lanes or if the rider rear-ended the vehicle.
The motorcycle went down in the roadway and caught fire, police said.
The young man suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash.
