Anthony Lucero, 26, Killed in Stanislaus County Pedestrian Crash on Crows Landing
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (October 4, 2021) – Anthony Lucero was killed after a pedestrian crash on Crows Landing Road in Stanislaus County.
The coroner’s office identified the 26-year-old Oakdale man as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred on Monday morning.
The incident began when Anthony Lucero was traveling south on Crows Landing Road with another man in a Dodge Ram. For an unknown reason, their car became disabled.
The California Highway Patrol said Anthony Lucero exited the vehicle. For an unknown reason, he started crossing the street near Clausen Road.
Man Hit by Minivan
A minivan going south at the time approached and then struck the victim on Crows Landing Road. The Modesto Bee wrote that the accident took place at about 5:47 a.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene between the cities of Turlock and Patterson. They found Anthony Lucero who ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian crash.
Medical personnel soon rushed him to the Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, where he died. Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Modesto man driving the minivan stopped after hitting the person.
CHP affirmed that the driver stayed at the site and cooperated with the officers. The cause of the pedestrian accident is still under investigation.
