Anthony Ortega, 27, Killed in Compton Crash on 710 Freeway Near Alondra
COMPTON, CA (July 18, 2022) – Anthony Ortega was killed after a crash on the 710 Freeway in the city of Compton.
The coroner’s office identified the 27-year-old man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Sunday.
The incident happened when Anthony Ortega was riding a vehicle which collided with at least three more on the northbound 710 Freeway in Compton.
For an unknown reason, the four crashed just north of Alondra Boulevard. One of them rolled over due to the impact of the collision.
3 Injured in Wreck
My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on July 17 at about 2:50 a.m. A California Highway Patrol dispatch described one of the cars involved as a white Subaru.
Officers confirmed that Anthony Ortega died at the scene of the crash. A total of three people ended up hurt as a result of the wreck.
Paramedics then rushed the patients to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries. Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of the 710 Freeway to shut down for hours following the incident.
The cause of the Compton crash is still under investigation.
