Anthony Perez, 19, Killed in Crash at Highway 58 and California City Boulevard
CALIFORNIA CITY (August 18, 2020) – A driver killed after a traffic collision at Highway 58 and California City Boulevard on Monday has been identified.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office said 19-year-old Anthony Gregory Perez, a resident of Bakersfield, died following the accident on August 17.
California Highway Patrol said a car allegedly ran a stop sign on westbound Highway 58 at California City Boulevard and struck another vehicle.

Paramedic responded and pronounced one of the motorists involved, later named as Perez, dead at the scene. CHP did not mention if the second driver sustained any injury upon impact.
According to reports by 23 ABC New and Kern Golden Empire, the fatal wreck occurred at around 3:45 a.m. near the Edward’s Air Force Base.
