Pedestrian Killed in Riverside Truck Accident on Arlington Ave
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2021) — Anthony Ramos, 36, of Riverside, died in a pedestrian accident Wednesday at Arlington Avenue and El Padro Street.
The collision happened about 10:11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15th a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a box truck on Arlington Avenue and El Padro Street.
The victim is identified on the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner’s website.
Box Truck Hits Pedestrian on Arlington Avenue
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the collision. Witnesses reported the pedestrian tried to open the passenger doors of passing vehicles just before the Riverside crash.
A short time later, a westbound box truck struck the victim as he walked away from the center median of Arlington Avenue into the roadway. Paramedics transported the injured man to a hospital where he later died. Meanwhile, the box truck driver stopped and cooperated with the officers.
The investigation into this tragedy is ongoing.
