Anthony Summers Injured in Selma Hit-and-Run at McCall and Dinuba Avenues
SELMA, CA (May 21, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash at McCall and Dinuba avenues injured Anthony Summers in Selma.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at about 1:54 p.m.
The incident happened when Anthony Summers was driving a black Kia Sorento in Selma. He exited his car after it ran out of gas at the intersection of McCall and East Dinuba avenues.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
CHP said a vehicle approached and for an unknown reason struck him in the crosswalk. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene.
Medical personnel found Anthony Summers who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They treated him for the hand injury he sustained in the crash.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver who hit the pedestrian did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of McCall and Dinuba to close following the accident.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect driving a silver Honda. The cause of the Selma hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
