ANTIOCH, California — According to an article by the Sacramento Bee, fourteen people were injured following a major traffic collision on Highway 4.
The accident happened on April 1 around 6:20 p.m. near A Street.
4 in Critical Condition After Antioch Car Accident
As per the article, the crash was caused by a bumper blocking a lane of traffic. A Toyota sedan was stopped behind the bumper when a minivan collided with the sedan. The collision further involved other autos, and officials mentioned at least 4 vehicles were wrecked from the mishap.
Emergency crews arrived shortly and found between 10 to 14 people injured. Three parties were affirmed to be in critical condition—a child was airlifted to Benioff Children’s Hospital, and two adults were transported to UC Davis.
The names of the people involved in the accident were not immediately disclosed pending next of kin notification.
