Bicyclist Hit by Car in Fatal Antioch Car Accident
ANTIOCH, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2020) — A 57-year-old Antioch woman riding a bicycle was struck and killed Monday morning in a collision at James Donlon Boulevard in Antioch.
The Antioch woman, who has not yet been identified, was found in the roadway suffering from major head injuries. She was non-responsive after being the 8:20 a.m. crash located near G Street, police said.
Paramedics responded and airlifted her to a hospital by a helicopter where she eventually died of her injuries.
Police are questioning the involved driver, however, drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
The investigation is ongoing into liability for the crash, police said.
