Woman Killed in Antioch Hit-and-Run Near Delta Fair and San Jose
ANTIOCH, CA (January 12, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash near Delta Fair Boulevard and San Jose Drive in Antioch.
According to The Press and East Bay Times, the traffic accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the collision shortly after 7:50 p.m.
Antioch police said a white vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city. The car hit her near the intersection of Delta Fair Boulevard and San Jose Drive.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the woman in her 40s left lying on the ground. She sustained severe injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Delta Fair and San Jose to shut down for a time following the crash.
