Several Injured After Car Accident at Somersville and Delta Fair Road Friday
Antioch, CA (February 26, 2021) – Multiple people suffered injuries following a hit-and-run car crash in the area of Somersville and Delta Fair Road, the East County Today reported.
Our sources indicated personnel from the Antioch Police Department were on a pursuit Friday morning. During the chase, the suspects got involved in a collision at the intersection of W 9th and J Street. The first accident took place at about 11:30 a.m.
Major Injury Hit-and-Run Car Crash in Antioch, February 26
Shortly after, a second crash occurred at the crossing of Somersville and Delta Fair Road near the Highway 4 onramp. Officials confirmed the second incident resulted in major injuries. Per news article published online, several parties received treatment at the scene. The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and AMR responded to the crash.
Authorities said the driver of the suspect vehicle, a gold car, fled the scene on foot after the second wreck. The Antioch Police Department later mentioned they have eventually detained two suspects involved in the accident.
Further investigation on the car crash in Antioch is underway.
