Man Killed in Crash on New Year’s Eve is Identified
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Jan. 3, 2024) — Antone Gregario Williams, 40, who is believed to be homeless, died in a pedestrian accident on New Year’s Eve along Pacific Coast Highway.
Two vehicles struck the victim at around 4:25 a.m. on Dec. 31st, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Long Beach Post.
Antone Williams was hit while walking in the eastbound lanes of PCH between Daisy and Maine avenues, the report said.
The first vehicle struck the victim and fled the scene before a second vehicle hit him, but that driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation, Long Beach police said.
Authorities did not release a description of the vehicle that fled the scene.
