Man, 48, Struck, Killed on 118 Freeway
PACOIMA, Calif. (Nov. 6, 2024) — Antonio Robles, 48, died in a pedestrian accident early Tuesday morning on the Ronald Reagan 118 Freeway at the Glenoaks Boulevard off-ramp in Pacoima.
The deadly crash occurred around 5:45 a.m. on Nov. 5th, according to the California Highway Patrol traffic report.
The driver of a white van called 911 after hitting the pedestrian on the westbound side of the freeway near the Glenoaks off-ramp, the report said.
Police closed down the off-ramp and issued a SigAlert for roughly three hours.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene, but there are no further details at this time. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later identified him as Antonio Robles.
The cause of the pedestrian accident on the 118 Freeway in Pacoima, as well as liability, are under investigation.
