ANZA: Motorcyclist Killed in Fiery Crash with Motorhome on Highway 74

El Segundo Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash with RV on Highway 74

ANZA, Calif. (April 28, 2014) —  An El Segundo man on a motorcycle died Sunday afternoon in a fiery collision with the driver of a motorhome on Highway 74 just east of the State Route 371 Cahuilla Road, according to a press release by the Riverside County Fire Department.

About 12:45 p.m., Riverside firefighters responded to the 2-vehicle crash on the 74 — Pines to the Palms Highway — and reported that the motorhome was fully engulfed in flames. Roughly 11 firefighers battled the fire and assisted those involved for roughly two hours.

The motorcyclist died at the scene of the crash, but the report did not indicate whether others were injured in the accident.

“Police will investigate this collision to determine liability,” said Attorney James Johnson. “The police report will provide details about what exactly happened and who is responsible based on interviews with witnesses as well as evidence collected at the scene.”
