Anza Pedestrian Accident Contreras Road Near Highway 371

Pedestrian Injured in Anza Crash on Contreras Road Near Highway 371

ANZA, CA (July 28, 2021) – A pedestrian was airlifted after an accident on Contreras Road near Highway 371 in Anza.

The Riverside County Fire Department received a call about the accident on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the incident at about 7:26 p.m.

According to Cal Fire, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Anza. The driver hit the victim in the 38800 block of Contreras Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 371. They found the pediatric patient hurt as a result of the collision.

An air ambulance took the victim to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Contreras Road to shut down following the collision. They also did not mention if the motorist involved stopped after hitting the person.

The cause of the Anza pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
