
Major Injury Head-on Crash in Apple Valley
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (Sept. 20, 2023) — Three people were injured after a head-on crash on Deep Creek Road and Del Oro Road in Apple Valley.
The collision occurred at about 6:44 a.m., on September 19th, according to Victor Valley News.
The drivers of a red Ford Mustang and a white Honda Civic were involved. The white vehicle also veered off the roadway and crashed into a fence. Two people in that vehicle were trapped and extricated by firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District. They were then airlifted by two helicopters to a trauma center for treatment of major injuries. The driver of the Mustang sustained minor injuries.
Police closed down Deep Creek Road in both directions to clear the roadway and investigate the cause of the crash and liability.
The Apple Valley Police Department is handling the investigation.
