Motorcyclist Killed in Apple Valley Crash Near Central Road and Sioux Road
APPLE VALLEY, CA (May 7, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash near Central Road and Sioux Road in Apple Valley.
According to an article published by The Daily Press, the tragic accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the wreck on May 5 at around 9:58 a.m.
The incident happened when a red Nissan Sentra was going west on Sioux Road, preparing to proceed across Central Road, in Apple Valley.
At the same time, the rider of a gray Yamaha motorcycle was traveling north on Central approaching Sioux. As the car drove into the intersection, the two collided.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The sheriff’s station said the person ended up ejected from his motorcycle due to the impact of the collision. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist down on the ground. They rushed him to the St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he died.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, deputies did not mention if the driver of the Nissan stopped and stayed at the site following the wreck.
Officers forced Central Road to shut down between the intersections of Sioux and Pah-Ute Road for six hours after the incident. The cause of the fatal Apple Valley crash is still under investigation.
