Juvenile Killed in Off-Road Crash at Central and Stoddard Wells Road Sunday
Apple Valley, CA (February 21, 2022) – A 12-year-old male died following a motor-vehicle collision that occurred in the area of Central and Stoddard Wells Road.
According to an article published online by Victor Valley News Group, the juvenile was driving a dirt bike near a campsite in Apple Valley. Earlier reports indicated a CanAm coming from the opposite direction swerved as they approached the juvenile. The driver of the CanAm apparently attempted to avoid hitting the young man. However, the juvenile veered into path of the CanAm, leading to the head-on collision.
Officials said the 12-year-old male was thrown off the bike into the air due to the force from the impact.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the juvenile with serious injuries. An ambulance rushed the patient to Providence St. Mary Medical Center. Sadly, the patient succumbed to his injuries and died in the emergency room at about 10:12 a.m.
No immediate information was available on the driver o the CanAm.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly off-road accident at Central and Stoddard Wells Road in Apple Valley.
