Pedestrian Killed in Apple Valley Crash on Dale Evans Parkway Near Quantico
APPLE VALLEY, CA (November 17, 2021)— A pedestrian was killed after a crash on Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley.
According to an article published by the Victor Valley News, the fatal accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the collision at about 7:44 p.m.
The incident happened on November 16 when a male pedestrian was walking in the northbound lane of Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley. At the same time, a white Chevy truck was going north.
For an unknown reason, the Chevy then struck the 25-year-old man in the 16200 block of the road. Another car headed north, possibly a white Toyota Camry, approached and ran over him.
Man Hit by Cars
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived near Quantico Road. They found the victim lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the man dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the driver of the Chevrolet stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. They are seeking for the cooperation of the motorist in the Toyota.
Officers forced Dale Evans Parkway to shut down between Otoe and Quantico roads for several hours following the crash. The cause of the Apple Valley pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
