APPLE VALLEY, California (March 23, 2017) – Three were hospitalized after a traffic collision in the area of Central and Ramona roads Wednesday afternoon, according to The Daily Press.
The accident involving two vehicles was reported just after 2 p.m.
As per the article, Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station said 18-year-old Jose Escobar was driving a black Nissan north on Central Road when a silver Dodge Caravan driven by 24-year-old Kimberly Monterroso entered the intersection.
The Nissan collided with the Dodge which then spun and rolled over.
Apple Valley Fire Protection District responded and attended to a total of three people, including a 2-year-old girl in a car seat, who were hurt following the crash. A woman in the Nissan was transported to St. Joseph Health, St. Mary with a complaint of pain while the child was taken to the same hospital with unspecified injuries.
Monterroso, of Apple Valley, sustained minor wounds and was treated at the scene. Escobar, of Victorville, and a female passenger in the van were unharmed.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
