2 Motorcyclists Injured in Crash at Central and Quarry Roads
APPLE VALLEY (August 11, 2018) – Two motorcycle riders were injured in a traffic collision at the intersection of Central and Quarry roads, according to Victor Valley News.
The accident happened on Saturday at 1:04 p.m.
As per the article, two men who appeared to be friends were out for a ride in the area. For unknown reasons, both parties lost control of their bikes on the northbound side of Central Road. Officials said one motorcyclist ended up crashing into a water tank, and another drove into the nearby railroad tracks.
Major Injury Motorcycle Accident Saturday in Apple Valley
When emergency teams arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the victims. Medical records indicated one person suffered serious trauma and was rushed to Apple Valley Airport to be further airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center by a Mercy Air helicopter.
Furthermore, the second victim was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The California Highway Patrol-Victorville is the agency handling the investigation.
