APPLE VALLEY, California (April 3, 2017) – A scooter rider was flown after a traffic collision on Outer Highway 18 early Sunday, April 2, according to onscenevideo.tv.
The accident was reported just after 12:00 a.m., just west of Lions Parks.
As per the report, a male was riding a scooter when he was struck by a vehicle which was headed east on Outer Highway 18 at the time. Apple Valley Fire Protection District and Apple Valley Police responded to the scene and found the victim with unspecified injuries in the roadway.
He was initially taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center where he was apparently airlifted to a local trauma center. His name and condition remained unknown.
Meanwhile, the driver involved stopped and cooperated with the authorities. The investigation is ongoing.
