April Lyon, 41, Killed in Car Crash at Adelanto Road and Air Expressway
ADELANTO, CA (September 21, 2021) – April Lyon was killed after a car crash that critically injured her husband and son in Adelanto.
The sheriff’s department identified the 41-year-old Adelanto woman as one of the victims in the fatal wreck which took place on Saturday.
The incident began when April Lyon was driving a tan 1999 Chevy Tahoe in the area of Adelanto Road and Air Expressway. At the same time, a silver 2011 Ford Fusion was going north on Adelanto Road.
Officials said the driver of the Ford, 21-year-old Adelanto resident Ysidro Pinon, ran a red light. He broadsided the Chevy in the intersection.

The Tahoe then rolled over upon impact. The Victor Valley News wrote that the accident occurred on September 18 at about 5:57 p.m.
April Lyon ended up ejected from her car as a result of the crash. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene.
The woman’s husband and 6-year-old son sustained serious injuries following the wreck. An air ambulance soon took both victims to the Loma Linda University Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, officers added that Pinon survived with moderate injuries and declined transport. The cause of the Adelanto crash is still under investigation.
