3-Vehicle Crash on Highway 1 in Aptos
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 25, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident in Aptos happened Thursday morning on Highway 1, just south of State Park Drive.
The three-vehicle collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Cabrillo Highway at around 7 a.m. on Jan. 25th in Santa Cruz County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver’s iPhone notified 911 operators there was a collision in the No. 1 lane of the highway. Police responded and determined the drivers of a gray Ford Ranger, a white Toyota Camry and a black Honda were involved. Authorities investigating the crash stated the Honda rear-ended the Toyota in the No. 1 lane and the Ranger was also involved, but there are no further details.
Paramedics responded and located at least one person with minor injuries who they transported to Watsonville Community Hospital, the report said.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the Toyota due to moderate rear-end damage.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Aptos car accident on Highway 1.
