1 Seriously Injured in Aptos Crash at Freedom Boulevard and Soquel Drive
APTOS, CA (April 17, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash at Freedom Boulevard and Soquel Drive in Aptos.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 5 p.m. near Highway 1.
Their report log said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of Freedom Boulevard and Soquel Drive in Aptos.
Car Collision Near CHP Office and Highway 1
CHP described the cars involved as a green Dodge Caravan and a black Honda Pilot. The Honda went five to ten feet off the road upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the CHP office. They found a female occupant of the Pilot bleeding from the head as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took her to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not disclose her name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the westbound No. 2 lane of the roadway to close following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Aptos crash.
