Araceli Marin, 26, Suspect in Deadly Car Accident on Cement Hill
Fairfield, CA (February 23, 2021) – Authorities identified 26-year-old Araceli Marin as the suspect in the fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred on Cement Hill on October 22, 2020.
Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Vehicle in Fairfield, October 22
The KCRA3 News reported Araceli Marin struck a pedestrian in the area of Cement Hill and Laurel Creek Park Thursday evening. Shortly after 11 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the crash site and found the female pedestrian lying on the roadway. Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital but the she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died.
Officials identified the deceased as 81-year-old Namie Stewart, of Fairfield.
Meanwhile, our sources indicated the motorist who hit Stewart continued driving following the collision. Following a months long investigation, Fairfield police identified the hit-and-run suspect as Araceli Marin. The news article mentioned the suspect fled to Texas after the horrible crash.
Personnel from the Fairfield Police Department arrested Araceli Marin on February 23, Tuesday, on charges relating to hit-and-run; manslaughter; concealing evidence and driving on a suspended license.
Araceli Marin was booked into the Solano County Jail.
