2-Vehicle Crash on US 101 in Arcata
ARCATA, Calif. (July 15, 2024) — A two-vehicle Arcata car accident happened Monday on northbound Highway 101, just north of State Route 299.
The traffic collision occurred at around 12:26 p.m. on July 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a silver Chevrolet Equinox and a black Honda Civic were involved and one of them deployed both airbags when it crashed into a guardrail.
It’s unknown what led up to the traffic accident and the report does not mention how many were injured. Paramedics responded to the scene to help anyone hurt.
Tow trucks removed the Equinox due to two bad tires and crash damage as well as the Civic with just one bad tire.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Arcata car accident on Highway 101.
