Major Injury Collision on U.S. Route 101 Saturday
Arcata, CA (May 8, 2021) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a motorcycle accident on U.S. Route 101 at Bayside Cutoff, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Officials said the motorcyclist collided with a gray Dodge pickup truck in the northbound side of SR-101 in Arcata. The model of the motorbike involved in the wreck remained unknown at this time.
At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Arcata Motorcycle Accident, May 8
Shortly after 11:15 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the crash site and attended to all possible victims. Authorities confirmed one person sustained major injuries as a result of the incident. It was not immediately discussed if the motorcyclist was the injured party in the collision.
Several factors surrounding the crash on Highway 101 remained unclear. Given that, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the motorcycle accident in Arcata happened.
