Pedestrian Killed in Arden-Arcade Crash at Watt and Whitney Avenues
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (October 1, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash at Watt Avenue and Whitney Avenue in Arden-Arcade.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident took place on Thursday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 8:15 p.m.
The incident happened on September 30 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian in Arden-Arcade. The driver hit the person for an unknown reason at Watt Avenue and Whitney Avenue.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Del Paso Country Club. They found the victim down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel confirmed that the patient later died. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced the area of Watt and Whitney avenues to close for a time following the collision.
The cause of the fatal Arden-Arcade pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
