Pedestrian Killed in Arden-Arcade Crash on Watt Avenue Near Lynne Way
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (May 23, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on Watt Avenue near Lynne Way in Arden-Arcade.
According to the KCRA and FOX 40 News, the tragic accident on Monday morning. Officers reported the collision at around 4:45 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in the Arden-Arcade area of Sacramento County.
Woman Hit by Vehicle
The driver hit her as she was walking on Watt Avenue near Lynne Way and Robertson Avenue. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the victim down on the ground.
Medical personnel soon confirmed that the woman died as a result of the collision. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the 20-year-old man driving the car stayed at the site after hitting the woman. Officers forced a lane of Watt Avenue to shut down for two hours following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Arden-Arcade pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
