Pedestrian Injured in Arden-Arcade Hit-and-Run Crash at Bell and Carlsbad
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (September 23, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Bell Street and Carlsbad Avenue in Arden-Arcade.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:24 p.m.
CHP said the driver of a pickup truck hit the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Arden-Arcade. The motorist struck the person and possibly two more vehicles at the intersection of Bell Street and Carlsbad Avenue.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Cars
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Interstate 80. They found the victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the pickup did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. They described the truck as a red Dodge Ram.
Officers forced the intersection of Bell and Carlsbad to close following the collision. The Arden-Arcade hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
