Pedestrian Injured in Arden-Arcade Hit-and-Run Near Marconi Avenue and La Paz Way
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (December 14, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Marconi Avenue and La Paz Way in Arden-Arcade.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place late Sunday morning. Officers reported the collision on December 12 shortly before 7 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Marconi Avenue and La Paz Way in Arden-Arcade.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Sacramento Suburban Water District. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. The cause of the Arden-Arcade hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the corner of Marconi and La Paz to shut down following the incident.
