Pedestrian Injured in Arden-Arcade Hit-and-Run at Watt and Whitney Avenues
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (September 15, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Watt Avenue and Whitney Avenue in Arden-Arcade.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the incident occurred late Wednesday night. Officers reported the accident at about 10:27 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Arden-Arcade. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Watt and Whitney avenues.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Arcade Square. They found the victim left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose the name of the pedestrian and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. They described the suspect car as possibly a black Mercedes 4-door sedan.
Officers forced the intersection of Watt and Whitney avenues to close following the collision. The cause of the Arden-Arcade hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
