Pedestrian Injured in Arden-Arcade Hit-and-Run on Whitney Avenue
ARDEN-ARCADE, CA (October 21, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Whitney Avenue in Arden-Arcade.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Tuesday night. Officers reported the accident on October 19 at about 9:52 p.m.
According to their dispatch, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Arden-Arcade. The driver hit the person at 3525 Whitney Avenue near Watt Avenue.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Interstate 80. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unknown injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Whitney Avenue near the intersection with Watt to close following the collision.
The cause of the Arden-Arcade hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
