Aristides Guerra, 53, Killed in Costa Mesa Crash at Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue
COSTA MESA, CA (May 12, 2021) – A car crash killed Aristides Guerra at Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue in Costa Mesa.
The coroner’s office identified the 53-year-old Santa Ana man as the victim of the fatal accident on Sunday afternoon
The incident happened when the car Aristides Guerra was driving collided with three more vehicles in Costa Mesa. They crashed for an unknown reason at the intersection of Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue.
2 Injured in Costa Mesa Multi-Car Collision
Police said his car then rolled over as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and found Aristides Guerra trapped inside the wreckage.
They soon pronounced him dead at the scene. Medical personnel took a second motorist who complained of pain and their two passengers to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
A third driver with back pain went to a hospital on their own while the fourth motorist ended up unharmed in the collision.
The Orange County Register and Daily Pilot wrote that the wreck occurred on May 9 at around 1:54 p.m. Meanwhile, the cause of the fatal Costa Mesa crash is still under investigation.
