Morin, 29, and Angulo Jr., 27, Killed in Thompson Avenue Car Accident
NIPOMO, San Luis Obispo County (June 2, 2018) – On May 26, Saturday, a deadly car accident occurred on South Thompson Avenue near Wineman Road, according to Noozhawk.
The California Highway Patrol have identified the driver and passenger killed in the crash as 29-year-old Armando Morin, and 27-year-old Salvador Angulo Jr. Both parties are reportedly from Santa Maria.
Preliminary investigation revealed the incident happened around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday when the driver of the involved 1999 Lexus RX300 veered off Thompson Avenue for unknown reasons.
As the Lexus traveled onto the dirt shoulder on the southbound side of Thompson, the driver made an abrupt left turn to try and get his car back on the road. Officials said that abrupt turn caused the Lexus to uncontrollably spin southeast across the road.
The car then went off the east side of the road where it hit an embankment and overturned.
