Northridge Man, 24, Killed in Woodland Hills Crash
WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (August 30, 2022) – Armen Benglyan, 24, of Northridge, is one of two young men who died in a Woodland Hills crash Monday night on Victory Boulevard.
Two motorists were killed in the head-on crash about 11:30 p.m. Monday, August 29th in the Woodland Hills area, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
Authorities say one vehicle was traveling eastbound and the other was westbound on Victory Boulevard. It occurred at the entrance to Pierce College in Woodland Hills.
One of the vehicles and the other was heading westbound near Mason Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The eastbound vehicle reportedly veered into oncoming traffic and crashed with the other motorist on the westbound side of the roadway.
Armen Benglyan, 24, of Northridge, suffered major injuries and was trapped in a mangled vehicle. Sadly, he died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said.
Meanwhile, firefighters extricated the second person trapped in a vehicle. Paramedics transported the second man to a hospital where he later died. The coroner has not released the man’s name, but he’s in his 30s, police said.
Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division are working to determine liability for the crash.
