2 Injured in Arnold Crash on Highway 4 Near Calaveras Big Trees
ARNOLD, CA (April 17, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash along Highway 4 near the entrance to a state park in Arnold.
According to an article published by My Mother Lode, the accident occurred on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 10 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a Ford F-250 pickup and a Honda Civic sedan collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed on Highway 4 near the entrance to the Calaveras Big Trees State Park in Arnold.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then extricated at least one trapped occupant from the wreckage. Two people ended up hurt upon impact.
CHP affirmed that a 25-year-old woman suffered major head injuries as a result of the collision. An air ambulance took her to the hospital for treatment.
A ground ambulance transported the other patient, a 68-year-old man, with complaint of dizziness. Officials did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced a section of Highway 4 to close following the Arnold crash. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the wreck.
