Arnold Car Crash Highway 4 Calaveras Big Trees State Park

1 Injured in Arnold Crash on Highway 4 at Calaveras Big Trees State Park

ARNOLD, CA (April 9, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash along Highway 4 at Calaveras Big Trees State Park in Arnold.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Monday afternoon, April 5. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:43 p.m.

According to their dispatch, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Arnold. They crashed in the 1170 block of Highway 4 at the Calaveras Big Trees State Park entrance.

Car Collision Near Visitor Center Monday

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Calaveras Big Trees Visitor Center. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took the wounded party to the Sonora Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, officials forced Highway 4 to shut down following the crash. Authorities are still determining the cause of the wreck.
