Arnulfo Rodriguez, 64, Killed in Bakersfield Bicycle Crash at California Avenue and S Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 7, 2022) – Arnulfo Rodriguez was killed after a bicycle crash near California Avenue and S Street in Bakersfield.
The coroner’s office identified the 64-year-old Bakersfield man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Tuesday.
The incident began when Arnulfo Lopez Rodriguez was riding a bicycle in central Bakersfield. For an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Police said the two collided near the intersection of California Avenue and S Street. Arnulfo Rodriguez ended up suffering from serious injuries and his bicycle mangled as a result of the crash.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the bicyclist down on the ground. The Bakersfield Californian and Kern Golden Empire wrote that the bicycle rider soon died at the scene.
The accident happened on January 4 at around 12:28 p.m. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man.
