Major Injury Collision on State Route 129
AROMAS, Calif. (Jan. 29, 2024) — A major-injury car accident happened Monday morning on Riverside Drive at Rogge Lane in Aromas.
The two-vehicle crash occurred near 1900 Riverside Drive at around 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 29th, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The drivers of a black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a white Honda sedan were involved in the collision. The report stated the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when one veered into the path of the other one and resulted in a head-on crash.
Police reported one of the vehicles was “totaled” and went off the roadway.
Paramedics responded and rushed at least one person to a hospital with major injuries.
Also, there were four dogs from one of the vehicles that were taken by Animal Control services because their owner was hospitalized.
Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the roadway due to heavy damage.
The case remains under investigation to determine fault.
