2 Hospitalized San Juan Road Car Accident in Aromas
AROMAS, Calif. (August 2, 2018) — At least two people were taken to hospital following a major-injury crash early Thursday morning on San Juan Road at Summerland Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision took place about 5:40 a.m. between a silver 4-door sedan, a black 4-door sedan and a white work truck, the report said. One person was trapped in a vehicle and was extricated by arriving firefighters. Paramedics responded and transported at least two people to hospitals, including one person with a broken arm.
It’s unknown at this time what caused the collision, but this location has historically been a dangerous stretch of roadway as vehicles slow down to turn into private roadways. Indeed, one person died in April 2015 when their vehicle was rear-ended at this same spot.
Police are heading up an investigation into today’s collision to determine fault.
