Arthur Daugherty, 67, Killed in Fremont Pedestrian Crash at Mission and Sullivan
FREMONT, CA (May 30, 2022) – Arthur Daugherty was killed after a crash at Mission Boulevard and Sullivan underpass in Fremont.
The coroner’s office identified the 67-year-old Fremont man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Saturday, May 21.
The incident happened when Arthur Daugherty was crossing Mission at Sullivan Underpass in Fremont. Police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him.
Man Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and found the victim down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced Arthur Daugherty dead at the scene of the pedestrian accident. The Patch and NBC Bay Area wrote that the collision occurred at around 12:15 a.m.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced the area to shut down for a time following the incident.
The cause of the Fremont pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
