Arthur Starks Jr. Fatally Struck by Vehicles at Long Beach Freeway and Anaheim Street
Long Beach, CA (September 21, 2021) – Arthur Starks Jr., a 46-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Long Beach (710) Freeway Monday morning.
According to My News LA, Starks was seen standing in the southbound lanes of the freeway near Anaheim Street. An oncoming vehicle failed to avoid and hit the pedestrian. Officials believed several other passing vehicle run over the body lying on the roadway.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Long Beach, September 20
Medical personnel arrived at the crash site shortly after 5:30 a.m. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. On Tuesday, authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased as Arthur Starks Jr.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned non of the vehicles involved in the collision remained at the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident in Long Beach.
