Driver Hospitalized After Traffic Collision on Highway 223 Sunday
Arvin, CA (June 27, 2021) – One person died and another suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on State Route Highway 223 Sunday afternoon.
The Bakersfield Now reported a blue SUV collided with a motorcycle rider in the eastbound side of the highway. Preliminary investigation revealed the horrible crash happened near Tower Line Road in Arvin.

Shortly after 1:15 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location and found the rider ejected on the roadway. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died.
Authorities added the driver of the blue SUV sustained injuries as a result of the collision. Responding paramedics transported the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several factors surrounding the deadly car and motorcycle accident in Arvin.
