Pedestrian Killed in Arvin Accident Near Sunset Boulevard and Campus Drive
ARVIN, CA (June 2, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after an accident near Sunset Boulevard and Campus Drive in Arvin.
According to the Kern Golden Empire and Bakersfield Now, the tragic incident occurred late Wednesday night. Officers reported the crash shortly after 10 p.m.
Arvin police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person on Sunset Boulevard near the intersection with Campus Drive.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and then found the victim lying on the ground as a result of the collision. They pronounced the patient dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Police did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the crash site after hitting the victim.
Meanwhile, a witness told the California Highway Patrol that they saw a vehicle swerved and they soon noticed a body in the roadway.
Officials forced the area of Sunset Boulevard and Campus Drive to shut down following the collision. The cause of the fatal Arvin pedestrian accident is still under investigation.
